Exploring history – Exploring history – developing villages in Kazbegi region
Kazbegi Local Action Group is implementing project, which is co-financed by the Polish Development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. Programme ,,Support for Democracy’’.

Project partner is Stowarzyszenie Korona Północnego Krakowa (The Crown of Northern Kracow Association)
Within the framework of the project, volunteers will find information about legends, tales, rituals, songs, folklore and interesting historical facts of Kazbegi. We will collect most of the data from local elderly people and from historical Museum.
The goal of the project is to contribute to tourism development and migration reduction in remote villages of Kazbegi municipality by raising awareness of tourism service providers and promoting new tourist destinations. Also, Using cultural tourism, and in particular traditional knowledge that has been orally passed for generations from person to person, to preserve cultural heritage and appeal to locals living in remote areas to develop new services in the future.
Within the framework of the project, 10 different interesting stories will be selected, audio recordings will be prepared on Mokhevian dialect and they will be translated in English and Russian languages. These audio guides will be presented at public and individual meetings.
Kazbegi Local Action Group during the preparation process of audio guides, for technical work looking for volunteers who will be able to translate the selected histories on a professional level in English and Russian languages. Also volunteers who are able to read artistically texts written in English and Russian languages for audio recordings. For additional information and terms, interested persons, please contact us.
